Dorchester’s Dog-Focused Hangout!
There are “dog-friendly” places… and then there are places designed around dogs. MUTT Everything Dog sits firmly in the second camp: a proper little destination where dogs can play, snack, and shop - while you grab a coffee and reset for the rest of the day.
Set in Brewery Square, Dorchester, MUTT brings together three things that usually live in separate worlds: two bookable indoor soft-play areas (private hire), a dog café & bakery (humans welcome too), and a curated dog shop packed with hand-picked products. And that mix matters - because it turns a simple “pop out for supplies” into something your dog actually gets excited about.
A safe place to play (especially when the weather’s doing its thing)
If you’ve ever tried to burn off dog energy on a wet, windy Dorset day, you’ll get why indoor soft-play is such a win. MUTT’s soft-play spaces are set up for off-lead fun in a controlled environment, and they’re available to book for private sessions.
What we really like is that MUTT has thought about different dogs, not just the bold, bouncy ones. There are two spaces, with the Small Soft-Play aimed at puppies, nervous dogs, and older dogs, and the Large Soft-Play designed for dogs over 6 months.
Café + bakery, with treats for both ends of the lead
MUTT’s café and bakery is exactly what you want it to be: simple, welcoming, and built for the fact your dog is coming in with you. They offer a dog and human menu of drinks and baked goods - including dog-friendly options so your pup doesn’t feel like they’re just watching you have all the fun.
It’s also just a lovely spot to pause - the kind of place where you end up chatting to someone because your dogs have made the introduction for you.
A shop that’s curated, not crammed
Alongside the play and café side, MUTT is a genuinely good browse. The shop carries a hand-picked range of accessories and treats, and even matching human and dog clothing (dangerous, in the best way).
And yes - you can also pick up Mac&Betsy treats while you’re there.
Why we’re proud to have MUTT as a Mac&Betsy stockist
Because they’re doing what we’re trying to do: make everyday dog life better, with products and experiences that feel thoughtful rather than mass-produced. MUTT isn’t trying to be everything to everyone - it’s building a dog-first space that feels like it belongs in Dorset.
If you’re local, it’s an easy “treat stop”. If you’re visiting Dorchester, it’s a genuinely fun thing to do with your dog - especially when you want something dry, warm, and low-stress.
